A beautiful interpretation of our brand name ‘Push up Daisies!’ by new team member and artist Ritusri Halambi.

For those who have wondered what ‘Push up Daisies’ means, it is a common phrase that originated sometime during World War I in Britain, meaning ‘to be dead.’

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The idea is that when you're dead and buried in the ground, you nourish the soil, making flowers grow - the ground, thus, pushes up daisies.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Interestingly, daisies are associated with quite a few phrases related to death: ‘under the daisies’ and ‘to turn one's toes up to the daisies’ are just some of them.

What makes this even more fascinating is that daisies symbolise childbirth, motherhood, and most excitingly, new beginnings.
