grave - palmer smith

When I die, don't invite anyone to the funeral.

I played with matches in the house.

I stole the money from the safe.

I forgot about you.

I dove into the dangerous gutter,

And then you flew away.

Gone, gone, gone.

And I swam in the water, floating with the sewage.

And I cried in drying lakes,

Wearing band-aids covering my infected thoughts.

Why did the hours fly so swiftly?

Why did I do everything I shouldn't have done?

Here I am, walking on your favourite bridge.
