There is something so magnificent, yet so humane about the Colosseum– I think it comes from the fact that it has seen so much.
The Colosseum has been through decades and centuries, seen the ends of eras, has been around for death and decay and disasters.
And yet, it stands– strong, beautiful and more breath-taking than ever, just like humans do. But if the Colossuem could feel what it saw, would it still be the same? Or would our sorrows make the Colosseum blue?
